Set up once, in two minutes.
- Install the Mac appDownload SonarDesk for Mac, open it, and allow Screen Recording and Accessibility when macOS asks. It lives in your menu bar.
- Pair your iPhoneOn the same Wi-Fi, open SonarDesk on your iPhone and scan the code your Mac shows. Then click Allow on your Mac.
- Tap your MacFrom then on, open SonarDesk and tap your Mac to see and control it. No code needed again.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY
Only your devices can see your Mac.
Approved on your Mac
A device can pair only with a one-time code shown on your Mac, and only after you click Allow there. Nothing is shared before that.
Encrypted end to end
Your screen, sound, typing, clipboard and files travel encrypted between your own devices. Our relay passes the connection along and cannot read it.
Nothing to collect

QUESTIONS
Good to know.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for. You pair your iPhone with your Mac once, with a code shown on the Mac, and approve it there. A subscription, if you choose one, is bought through your Apple Account.
Is the Mac app free?
Yes. The SonarDesk app for Mac is free, and you download it from this site. It is signed and notarised by Apple. It is not on the Mac App Store because Apple does not allow screen sharing and remote input from apps sold there.
What is free, and what needs SonarDesk Connect?
On the same Wi-Fi as your Mac, seeing and controlling it is free, and so are copying and pasting text and images between the two and waking your Mac from sleep. SonarDesk Connect adds reaching your Mac from any other network, and sending photos, videos and files in both directions.
How does it reach my Mac when I am away?
With SonarDesk Connect, your iPhone tries a direct connection first. If that is not possible, it goes through our relay, which passes the encrypted connection along without being able to read it. If you already use a VPN that connects both devices, SonarDesk can also connect through it.
How many devices can I pair?
Up to three iPhones with each Mac, and up to three Macs with each iPhone. To make room, choose Forget on a device in the SonarDesk menu on your Mac, or forget a Mac in the iPhone app.
Does it work on iPad?
Version 1.0 is an iPhone app. It runs on iPad in iPhone layout; a full iPad version is planned.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Apple handles subscriptions. Cancel any time in the Settings app on your iPhone, under your name, then Subscriptions. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where is it available?
The iPhone app is coming to the App Store in the United States and Canada.
