MacSonar is an independent software studio based in India, making small, specific apps for Mac and iPhone. Each one does a single job, and tries to do it precisely and honestly.

What we make

• SonarDesk: see and control your own Mac from your iPhone, at home or away.
• MacSonar Space: understand your Mac's storage and decide what to remove, with file analysis that stays on your Mac.

How we think about privacy

Our apps have no accounts, no advertising and no analytics code. Where an app has to use the network, its privacy policy lists exactly what is sent and why, and we design so that what is yours never needs to reach us. All privacy policies.

Who publishes our apps

MacSonar is an independent developer. Our apps are published under the MacSonar name, and the App Store shows the developer's account as the seller.

How we write our guides

The MacSonar Blog explains Mac decisions in plain language. We link to primary documentation for macOS features and say when an action has a cost or an uncertain result. If you spot an error, email [email protected].
