You choose what moves.

Analysis and cleanup are separate. Review the items and their consequences before confirming a removal.

Trash comes first.

Ordinary removals move files to the Trash. Emptying it is permanent, asks separately, and cannot be undone.

Missing is not empty.

When macOS blocks access or a scan is incomplete, the app tells you. An incomplete measurement is not a complete picture.

Analysis stays local.

Your file names, folder structure and scan results are not uploaded. Licence activation and validation make separate network requests.

Uncertainty stays visible.

Known caches, inferred candidates and review-only items are different. The interface keeps those distinctions in view.

Results, including failures.

Review what moved and what did not. Keep a backup for important data; the Trash is not a replacement for one.

FAQ

A few things
worth asking.

What stays free after seven days?

Storage analysis remains available: explore the map, search, compare duplicates, read findings and reveal items in Finder. Bulk cleanup and other removal actions need an active trial or licence.

Does it delete files automatically?

No. You choose what to remove and confirm. Ordinary removals move items to the Trash. Empty Trash is a separate, permanent action.

Can I restore something I removed?

Items still in the Trash can generally be restored using Finder. Once you empty the Trash, MacSonar Space cannot recover them. Keep a separate backup of important data.

Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?

macOS restricts access to some folders. Full Disk Access helps MacSonar Space measure those locations; without it, the app reports unreadable areas rather than pretending they are empty.

Does anything leave my Mac?

File analysis is local. Activation sends your licence key and a name for your Mac to the licence provider. The app validates the licence daily and supports 30 days of grace when validation cannot reach the server. File names and scan results are not sent.

Are all caches safe to remove?

No single rule covers every folder. Known findings include consequences; some data takes time to rebuild, and other data may hold state you need. Conventional candidates and review-only items are labelled separately.

Which Macs does it support?

The app requires macOS 14 or later. Supported processor architectures will be listed with the verified release download.

Will it make my Mac faster?

MacSonar Space helps you understand storage and make cleanup decisions. It does not promise a speed increase. Removing a cache can make the next build or launch slower while that cache is recreated.

How do updates and refunds work?

The app does not update itself automatically. Final update coverage and refund terms will be published before sales open, alongside the checkout and release information.
